Pinot Gris 2011
Vanilla, mango and papaya notes are offset by strong
green pear and floral aromatics. The mouth is full and
broad with a refreshing hit of lemon custard.
Early April budbreak was followed by a month of cool weather stalling growth throughout a wet spring and the wettest June on record resulting in small yields. The summer continued to be the coolest in 17 years. The extreme length of this vintage, reminiscent of 1999, resulted in beautiful white wines with low alcohols, freshness and intense varietal character.

Pinot Noir 2008
Spiced cherry, cinnamon, clove and graham cracker
aromatics lead to a soft entry of licorice and peppercorn
notes. The mid palate sweetness finishes with dusty
firm tannins.
A winemaker is lucky to receive a handful of really magical vintages in a lifetime. 2008 is one of those vintages. In the Willamette Valley we started the season two weeks late due to a cool spring, which delayed budbreak. A cool season throughout June and into July persuaded us to bring already low crop levels even lower to ensure ripening for what was shaping up to be a very cool vintage. To our surprise and excitement, the sun came out in August and persisted into September and October with a gorgeous Indian summer. This Pinot Noir is a blend of LIVE Certified Sustainable fruit from Ponzi's Aurora, Madrona and Avellana Vineyards along with Linda Vista, Gran Moraine, Gemini, Zena West and Alloro Vineyards.
